I think I have been lucky in my experiences so far with IVF.
I have read a few blogs where others on undergoing IVF have not had the same luck.
What with the constant sweating, feeling too hot, headaches and hot flushes.
I have had the prickly skin and the feeling of not being quite rights and a couple of headaches I have been fine. I have been on the long cycle as I go through down regulation. I think I would have preferred the short cycle – short and sweet and to the point with none of the fuffing about.

I am looking forward to the scan tomorrow – I think. I feel excited that the next stage starts hopefully on the 27th but it means having a scan (an ultrasound and I think it will be a trans-vaginal scan) and blood work. The blood work will be to measure the level of estrogen in my blood – it must be at a baseline (i.e. maintenance level). The scan is to ensure that my ovaries have down regulated as they say – meaning no egg development until it can be artificially induced.

But I am a little apprehensive of that the test results will not be what is required and I would have to carry on sniffing the nasal spray.

My test is at 11:30am,  I will be told the results in the afternoon (around 3/4pm same day).
If the results of the scan and blood work is acceptable, I will be told to start my injections the evening of the next day. I will also be taught how to inject the FSH drug subcutaneously

So that is my lot for the day – looking forward and keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks for reading and I will give you an update tomorrow.
xx
